East Sussex Building Control Partnership
Your reliable local authority building control service for East Sussex
East Sussex Building Control Partnership is committed to playing its part in preventing the spread of Coronavirus within communities and business by reducing face to face contact with customers. Our office work is now being undertaken from homes, and so is not impacted greatly by these measures. Site inspections though are being limited to ‘essential only’. When visiting site, surveyors will observe the Government guidance on proximity and handshaking, and will respect households who are self-isolating. Instead of a visit, you may be asked to provide photographs or we may just speak to you by phone. We wish to assure you that in spite of these measures, we will continue to provide a quality building control service to our customers and the communities we serve
Changes to BC Charges from 1st January 2021
In accordance with the building (Local Authority Charges) Regulations 2010, notice is hereby given that the Building Regulation Charges of East Sussex Building Control Partnership will change on 1st January 2021. This will affect all local authority building regulation applications for Wealden, Rother, Eastbourne and Hastings. The revised charges will soon be available online. The principle of the charges is cost recovery of the service only. The Partnership is a non-profit organisation committed to providing the best service possible to you at competitive prices.
Who we are
Welcome to The East Sussex Building Control Partnership
East Sussex Building Control is a Partnership organisation which carries out the Building Control function on behalf of four separate local authorities, covering Eastbourne and Hastings Boroughs, and Rother and Wealden Districts.
We aim to work with and alongside property owners, architects engineers and developers to ensure compliance with the Building Regulations. By providing a shared service over multiple authorities, customers working across the region can utilise a single point of contact for Building Regulations queries and applications, and expect a greater degree of consistency in service.
